Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about scaling accuracy, units, privacy, silhouettes, and using the comparison tool.
The tool is mathematically exact. Silhouettes are rendered using Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) on a linear coordinate plane where each centimeter corresponds directly to a fixed pixel multiplier. If Person A is 180 cm and Person B is 160 cm, Person A will be precisely 1.125 times taller on your screen. There is zero perspective distortion or lens warping.
You can input and view heights in metric units (centimeters and meters) or imperial units (feet and inches). The tool uses the international standard definition of 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters, ensuring conversions never accumulate rounding errors. You can toggle between metric and imperial ruler modes at any time from the stage toolbar.
None whatsoever. BodyComparison is a pure static web utility that executes 100% inside your web browser. No accounts are required, no background APIs are contacted, and no names or measurements ever leave your device. For convenience, your active subjects are cached locally in your browser's private localStorage so they remain available if you refresh the page.
In real life, human height is perceived with both people standing on the same level floor. Many comparison graphics align images by their center point or bounding box, which creates misleading visuals where a shorter person appears elevated. By anchoring every silhouette's feet to the zero-datum ground line, you can accurately compare eye levels, shoulder lines, and posture.
Yes. You can add as many people as you wish to the comparison stage. You can reorder them horizontally by dragging them across the screen. The difference analyzer at the bottom lets you choose any two specific individuals from your list to calculate their exact height gap and percentage ratio.
We provide responsive, athletic Male and Female vector silhouettes engineered with bodybuilding proportions (capped deltoids, tapered waists, defined muscle curvature, and leg sweep). Both models dynamically respond to height and body fat percentage, complete with an interactive muscle tone toggle that reveals or softens striations and abdominal definition.
Yes. The layout is mobile-first and fully responsive. On narrow screens, the people management panel collapses into an accessible drawer, while the stage automatically adjusts its scale so silhouettes remain clearly visible. Touch gestures (drag to pan and drag to reorder) are fully supported.
Yes. Click the "Export Image" button in the toolbar to download a clean, standalone vector SVG file of your current comparison stage. Because it is vector-based, you can scale the exported graphic to any size or resolution without pixelation.
